Our Standards
Editorial Policy
Useful guidance starts with transparent research and honest limits.
What we evaluate
We compare serving size, protein, fiber, added sugar, sodium, ingredient lists, allergen notes, portability, and the role a product may play in an everyday routine. No single number makes a food universally “healthy,” so our guides explain tradeoffs instead of handing out blanket health halos.
How we source information
We prioritize current product labels, manufacturer pages, and public guidance from organizations such as the FDA, USDA, CDC, and NIH. Formulas and labels change, so readers should always confirm the package in hand before buying or consuming a product.
Reviews and comparisons
A product guide is not presented as firsthand testing unless we actually tested the item. Label-based comparisons are identified as such. Availability in a Vitally Yours machine or box can change and does not guarantee that a product is right for every person.
Health information
Our content is educational and is not medical advice. People managing allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, medications, or specialized diets should use the product label and guidance from a qualified health professional.
Automation and human review
We may use software-assisted research and drafting to organize large topic sets. Every published guide is governed by this editorial standard, checked for unsupported claims and duplication, and assigned a visible update date. We correct material errors when identified.
